We've made finding Wi-Fi networks incredibly easy! After starting your laptop, click on the Boingo logo icon in the system tray located in the lower right hand corner of your screen. The client window will open to the Available Signals screen.
The Boingo client will display any nearby Wi-Fi network signal in this window. (Some private networks hide their names for security purposes -- you won't be able to see these networks unless you have already set the SSID for the hidden network into your profiles.)
Each signal includes a connect button, the network name (SSID) and a signal strength meter. If the network is protected against unauthorized access, the signal information will include a lock icon. The lock indicates the network is using WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) for security purposes. To access any network that is WEP protected you will need a corresponding key to be entered into the Boingo client. You should obtain the key from the network administrator.
